We also manage to keep a sense of humor along the way.  So if you’re ready for WaMu, read on!   This job is responsible for processing transactions which involve adjusting moderate to complex transactions, researching unusual and highly complex problems which may include information system errors or those which affect large numbers of customers.  Incumbents are required to effectively explain highly complex processes to managers and customers, often in emotionally volatile circumstances.  At this level, Incumbents will have a range of HRSC Operations knowledge and understanding of Wamu Business unit processes that are impacted by HR Operations activities. Makes complex payroll calculations/HR transactions which require gathering and verifying data from several sources. Responds to complex, non-routine questions and problems via emails, call tracking tickets or phone calls. Identifies and documents systems problems. Effectively explains complex processes to managers and employees, often in highly emotional circumstances via multiple communication channels. Researches complex, non-routine problems which may require basic knowledge of the system beyond the scope of the work group. Performs special project work as assigned. Assists with the implementation of procedural changes for new or existing products, applying an understanding of the linkages between systems and work groups.1 year  related experience in a customer service, HR, Payroll or Benefit environment. Or the equivalent combination of experience and education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this position. Highschool degree/GED required. Vocational/Technical Training, Associate's Degree, and/or Bachelor's Degree preferred.Washington Mutual is an equal opportunity employer.
