We have a great opportunity on our  Information Systems Team for a Corporate Systems Senior Developer.   Reporting to the Corporate Systems Manager, this position is responsible for the following: Job Purpose:  ·  Responsible for design and development of CFC’s applications.·  Responsible for maintenance of existing applications.·  Responsible for responding to Help Desk tickets escalated beyond the first level of troubleshooting.Essential Functions:·  Design, develop and maintain software and associated technical documentation.·  Estimate development efforts for assigned new project and change requests.·  Provide problem resolution for assigned Help Desk tickets.·  Coach and have the ability to supervise other, less experienced members of the team.·  Other duties and projects as assigned. Education: Undergraduate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical degree, or the equivalent in work experience.General knowledge of accounting and finance. Minimum Knowledge & Experience: Application Development Skills – object-oriented (OO) analysis, design, and development in an OO language such as Java. Distributed software design and development using the latest technologies such as the Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) specification, Hibernate, Spring, Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs), Junit, Log4j, Struts 2, Java Server Pages (JSPs), ANT, XML, JavaScript and HTML. Server-based development with an application server such as Weblogic. Experience with web authoring tools such as Macromedia Dreamweaver. Understand Software Development Lifecycle Methodology - Understanding of CFC's development methodology including standard deliverables associated with analysis, design, development, and implementation. Relational Database Skills - Experience using a relational database such as Sybase. Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and SQL-based query tools. Software Change Control Management - Knowledge of software change control. Ability to implement a change control tracking database and manage releases of software. Personnel Management Experience - Ability to manage staff including interviewing, training, assigning and directing work, identifying and removing barriers, supporting and encouraging team members, coaching to maximize performance, appraising work, rewarding good performance and providing feedback where course correction is necessary. Desired Knowledge & Experience:Project Management - Experience managing Information Systems projects including identifying required resources, creating project plans, and status reporting. Identifying critical path items, identifying and removing project success impediments. Defining project roles and processes. Balancing results and relationships among project members so each member contributes and is eager to work with the project team again. Clarifying expectations to project team members. Organizing tasks, identifying target dates, and getting commitment to complete tasks from project team members. Determining and communicating application owner resources required for success. Ensuring application owner’s resource commitment. Managing project scope and risks to deliver projects on time and within budget. Managing application owner’s expectations.  Advanced Relational Database Skills - Logical data modeling and design using a database design tool. Experience defining stored procedures. Software Architectural Skills - Knowledge of distributed (n-tiered) applications and service oriented architectures. Business Process Management Software Skills – Ability to implement processes in a Business Process Management software suite such as Appian Enterprise is a plus.
