Armed Driver Guard
Join the most progressive team in our industry! Loomis is seeking highly qualified individuals to become Armed Driver/Guards in our dynamic Tacoma area.
Armed Driver Guards perform the functions of Armed Driver and/or Armed Guard as members of an armored car crew, and are responsible for the pickup and delivery of customer orders in accordance with a designated route, making stops at customer locations daily. Crews typically consist of two or more team members. Specific responsibilities will vary from day to day. Ability to communicate verbally with team members, customers and branch management via telephone and two-way radio required.
Responsibilities:
- Drive automatic and standard shift vehicles weighing from 6,100 to 20,420 gvw a minimum of 4 hours per day.
- Loading and unloading of cargo consisting of cassettes, bags, and boxes of coin and currency, carrying a minimum of 50 pounds by hand or up to several hundred pounds by cart.
- Counting items, recording amounts and serial numbers, signing receipts and manifests.
-Guarding custodian as s/he makes deliveries and pick-ups to/from customers.
Qualified candidates must:
- Possess or able to aquire a Washington State Concealed Carry Permit (CCP) and be able to acquire a Washington State Armed Guard License after the on-the-job training.
- Possess a valid drivers license, and ability to operate a motor vehicle safely in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be able to pass a DOT physical, comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Have work experiences which demonstrate customer service attitude and team work orientation.
- Have the unrestricted ability to bend, stoop, squat, stand, walk, climb, twist, turn and reach out.
- Have the ability to push/pull dollies/carts loaded with cargo weighing up to several hundred pounds.
- Have the ability to read and speak English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
