Application Developer - JAVA, .NET, PERL or PHP

•Location:    richmond, VA 23173•Job Status:    Full Time, Employee•Job Category:    IT/Software Development•Total Work Experience:    2+ to 5 Years•Career Level::    Experienced (Non-Manager)•Minimum Education:     Bachelor's DegreeApplication Developer - JAVA, .NET, PERL or PHP Participates in technical design, development and implementation of application systems. Work with designer/analysts to implement enhancements or new applications in a client/server environment. Attend meetings to understand desired results, coding, unit and/or system testing, and documents changes. Occasionally requires troubleshooting and correcting production issues in emergency type situations. Additional duties may include directing the work of junior application developers.Responsibilities: • Code and configure Teamsite templates, Teamsite workflows, Perl scripts and modules to design specification • Writes or maintain documentation that describes installation and operating procedures for application code. • Work with Quality Assurance/System Analyst to assist with the evaluation of application code. • Participate in requirements gathering, planning and estimating with team of developers, analyst and testers. • Perform reviews of application code to assure coding quality and standards. Basic Qualifications: • High School diploma or GED • Bachelors Degree in Business, Information Systems or Computer Science • 7 Years experience in Application Development using JAVA, .NET, Perl or PHP• 3 years IT consulting or project management experiencePreferred Qualifications: • 2 Years experience Teamsite administration support• 2 Years experience developing in Interwoven Teamsite • 2 Years experience configuring Interwoven OpenDeploy • Microsoft/Sun Certification, Java, .NET, SQL, ORACLE, UNIX• Experience with version or content management (Clearcase, CVS, CMS, etc.) Capital One will not file non-immigrant visa petitions for alien workers.
