Design Development Engineer – Plano, Texas

Traxxas is seeking professional, enthusiastic, design/development engineers with excellent mechanical aptitudes and strong technical communication skills.  Enthusiasm for automotive development and high-performance vehicles (cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATV’s, boats, aircraft, etc.) A high level of hands-on mechanical ability. Ability to work in all aspects of vehicle design and development, including suspension, engine, drivetrain and chassis.  Must have a basic understanding of vehicle dynamics BS degree in Mechanical Engineering. FEA software and solid modeling experience ((Preferably with SolidWorks, Pro-Engineer, Solid Edge, or Catia). 4 years of mechanical engineering experience. Experience in the development of consumer products from initial concept through production. Strong written communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access and Outlook). Experience with radio controlled vehicles and/or full size automotive vehicles is a definite plus.  (Please elaborate on this experience.) Understanding of the following manufacturing processes: Injection molding, die casting, and machining. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access and Outlook).
