WyoTech - Laramie, WY campusReq#: 08-1065General Duties:  Maintain a teaching assignment for class. Plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/outline provided, to assure course content and objectives are met. Distribute a copy of the class calendar to all students at first class meeting. Utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students. Design, administer and grade examinations to assess achievement of course objectives as identified in the syllabus. Actively work to maintain retention in all classes taught, by maintaining accurate attendance records daily, calling all students who are absent, and recording absentee information in roster after each class meeting and communicating attendance "concerns" to the Program Chair or DOE. Be available to advise students, tutor and provide other assistance as needed. Requirements: Interested applicants MUST hold a high school diploma or equivalent and have seven years experience in the related field (beyond entry-level) OR: Hold an Associate?s Degree in the subject area to be taught, plus four years experience in the related field (beyond entry-level) in the last ten years. Related field experience could be in: Engine theory, valvetrain, cooling, and lube. OBDII, emissions, electronic ignition, fuel systems, alternative fuels, hybrid, and their operations. Supplemental restraints, A/C and service units. Basic electricity, electronics, meter usage, and diagnosis. Hydraulics operation, automatic transmissions R&R, and repair. Manual transmissions, clutches, drivelines, differentials, brakes, and ABS. Steering, suspensions, alignment, and tires.
