Develops global strategic procurement strategy for Lead with emphasis on identification of cost reduction opportunities, development of freight distribution strategies, and budget development and maintenance.
 
Primary Duties:

 
Interface with Finance on budget process and forecasts.Provide SBU reports and analysis.Deliver to annualized cost saving targets for assigned commodities.Analyze commodities and develop global strategic plan for maximizing efficiencies and maintaining a high quality of customer service.Review and update policies and procedures consistent with QS9000 and provide guidance and interpretation to JCI plant and supplier personnel.Work with Logistics Manager to resolve compliance issues; may negotiate settlements where financial penalty is involved.Direct supplier selection, negotiate and interpret contracts between JCI and suppliers.Design and implement suppliers' accountability reports.Interface with JCBGI global entities to optimize efficiencies and leverage cost opportunities in the procurement area.Interface or participate cross functional on project teams on inventory movement and/or product distribution systems and costs.Manage or participate in special projects as assigned.Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned. Job Specifications:

B.S. Degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Business or Engineering Masters Degree preferred
7+ years experience in a manufacturing environment is a supply chain or procurement role. Automotive Experience preferred
 
Working Conditions:
May require 20 - 40% travel.
