Assembler

Standard work hours are four ten hour days per week: 6:00am – 4:30pm. Candidates must be willing to work overtime and occasional Saturdays.  Key Responsibilities: Assemble power generators, Fire pumps and OEM engines. Assemble units within time directives. Actively participate in Safety program. Use of hand tools- both hand and pneumatic. Attach enclosures. Identify opportunity for change to accomplish company goals and objectives. Properly promote company values everyday. Work efficiently, accurately, with pride in workmanship. Welding, fabricating of parts, and electrical wiring done on a daily basis. Some travel will be required. Functional/Technical Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Technical school degree preferred, but not required. Minimum of two years welding experience required. Minimum of two years of manufacturing assembly experience required. Basic knowledge and experience in all aspects of our business including service with power generators, fire pumps, or OEM engines. One year of experience with AC/DC electricity preferred, but not required. Familiarity of ISO, QS, 5S, Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma a plus . Individuals must have their own tools with experience with plasma cutter, wire feed welding, braising, drill press, and a torch wrench. Basic knowledge of electrical assembly a plus, but not required.
