Service Writer / Coordinator

 

North Central Houston Heavy Equipment Dealership with local and international customer base seeks experienced Service Writer for the position of Service Writer / Coordinator.

 

Job Purpose:

 

Serves internal and external customers by receiving and preparing service workorders, job progress, labor profiency, labor variance reporting, warranty, provides support for service department clerical staff by maintaining all service files and assiting with timely invoicing.Duties:* Receives customer requests, prepares work orders and purchase orders* Fills customer requests by relaying segmented work orders to supervisors.

* Communicates labor time expectations for segments and assist with managing labor proficiency

* Timecard entry for the service department

* Prepares daily / weekly exception / variance reports by collecting and summarizing data for supervisors and management

* Review of all work orders for completeness and accuracy with the supervisors, prior to invoicing.  Complete final invoicing in a timely manner for customers.

* Serves customers and vendors by researching and responding to inquiries; mailing records, invoices, and reports.* Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documents.Skills/Qualifications:Proficient with MS Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.  Experience using general office equipment.  Exceptional organizational skills are mandatory for this position.  Customer service experience in a related industry is required.
