DriveTime is the nations largest chain of used car sales and finance dealerships catering to people with credit challenges.DriveTime owns and operates locations in 17 Metropolitan areas in 10 states.   We’ve created a fun, challenging environment.Thanks to the rave reviews from our employees, we’ve won multiple ‘Best Places to Work’ awards in addition to recognition as a ‘Hot Growth Company’.   We are currently seeking a Database Administrator.    POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the support and maintenance of all Structured Query Language (SQL) Servers within the enterprise including operational systems and the corporate data warehouse.   ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to provide general guidelines and parameters for the job and are not intended to be a comprehensive, detailed description of the job.  The immediate supervisor and the employee should mutually establish detailed job duties and responsibilities. Must demonstrate advanced knowledge of SQL Server 2000 Database Administration, including but not limited to performance tuning and monitoring, disk configuration, indexing strategies, clustering, VLDB support, backup and restore strategy and replication. Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve data and user related system errors. Optimize stored procedures written by others. Troubleshoot database performance issues · Work with development teams to implement solutions. Implement data purge and archiving strategies. Design and maintain database and code change control processes. Maintain separate Development/Test/Production environments. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 3+ years experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator Solid understanding of relation database concepts Proficiency in T-SQL programming, including writing stored procedures Excellent written and verbal communication skills Working knowledge of various software products including Microsoft Office, Visio, Visual SourceSafe and Project. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent  Microsoft Certified Database Administrator on Windows 2000 or higher and SQL Server 2000. Experience with Analysis Services Cube Administration, Informatica ETL Tool Experience OR Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience, which fulfills the requirements of the position, will be considered.
