Help Cummins Southern Plains, LLC be a leader in the Diesel industry by acting as the Applications Engineer-who adapts equipment; determines new specifications; adapts equipment; supervises and confirms installations; prepares operators; maintains equipment. Qualifications Experience in Computer Aided Design and analysis. Has mechanical design and computer drafting skills such as CADRA, CADAM, CATIA, or PRO-E. Working knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and cost-reduction techniques. Strong working knowledge of various quality and inspection requirements, manufacturing processes, and measurement techniques. Educate DOEMs, Power Generation and Industrial Sales on installation recommendations. Provide general engineering information to DOEMs, Power Generation and Industrial Sales Provide engineering support, including all applicable design and installation functions, to DOEMs and Account Managers. Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and interact with all aspects of the Industrial and Power Generation Businesses including sales, purchasing and manufacturing. Must be willing to travel. Conduct DOEM design and installation reviews to ensure compliance with Cummins installation requirements. Submit design and installation review reports to Cummins and copy to DOEM. Track status of all design and installation reviews through approval stage. Makes effective decisions by analyzing information and considering priorities. Must possess strong interpersonal and customer relations and communication skills. Exceptional multi-tasking and organization skills are critical Experience communicating regular status to clients, superiors, and peers. Manage repower and upfit projects including design, scheduling and testing. Test and confirm as acceptable, design efforts of Manufactured Products and upfits. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field.Previous experience in fluid power, vibration analysis and mechanical power. Familiarity with alternative fueled and diesel engines.Superior mechanical aptitude or a personal interest in mechanical applications Benefits We recognize people as our most valuable asset.
