Responsibilities include:

Developing, modifying, and/or reviewing drawings of structural systems or components in an architectural engineering environment according to established standards.

Developing structural analysis and designs based on input from the Lead project engineer including Structural calculations and sketch designs.

Supervising the work of assigned CAD and/or Structural Designers.

Coordinating the work with other disciplines to ensure that their requirements are complied with, that adequate space is provided for the other disciplines and to ensure that all the structural requirements are maintained within the established criterion and schedule.

 

Qualifications and skills include:

BS in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with emphasis in structures.

Must be a PE.

Minimum of five years of experience working on a wide variety of building types, such as commercial, light industrial, institutional, laboratories and government facilities.

Structural Analysis and Design through a wide variety of commercial programs either in 2 “D” or in 3 “D’.

People skills with a desire to contribute to the success of the project assignments.
