Senior EDA Engineer (CAD Engineer)

Develop and support Deep Sub Micron (DSM) physical design Place-and-Route process. Develop flows, tools, and procedures to complete netlist-to-GDS design implementation for digital and mixed-signal designs.  Provide company-wide service and design project support independently for physical design process such as floor-planning, clock-tree synthesis, routing, and timing/SI/power closure. Work with front-end designers to detect, debug, and resolve timing/SI/power related issues.  Work as project lead in some projects to manage physical design tasks and schedule.  Supervise and provide training to new EDA engineers.

Job Requirements:


MS in EE, CE or related and 5 years experience as Sr. EDA Engineer, EDA Engineer, Design Engineer or related.

 

Will accept BS in EE/CE and 7 years of experience in lieu of MS and 5 years.

 

Special Requirements:

 

Experience with physical design Place-and-Route using Cadence First Encounter tool suite, Silicon Ensemble, and Design Planner; Physical Design Verification using Dracula and Assura.

Experience performing synthesis; timing analysis, and verification using Design Compiler, PrimeTime, and Formality.

Experience with Shell/TCL scripting and PERL programming for physical design flow development and automation.
