Senior Design Engineer

Senior Design Engineer Fabrication company that makes Pressure Vessels located in Cincinnati, Oh is looking for a qualified candidate to fill a senior design engineering position. Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience regarding Pressure Vessel Design, Heat Exchanger and or fabrication.1. Assist the Project Manager to insure the overall success of the Process Equipment Group.2. Ultimately responsible for the performing mechanical designs per ASME, API or other applicable codes and standards from customer supplied criteria and data sheets.  3. Ultimately responsible for the creation, receipt, filing and storage of all drawings (both electronic and paper copies) related to estimating, production, quality control and certification for the Group.  4. Manage all outsourced detailing and engineering services for the Group.5.Responsible for facilitating Sales, Quality, Production and Operational Management to insure that all drawings, specifications, layouts and tolerances for the Group are correctly interpreted and considered.6. Work with Quality Manager to insure that all ASME, API or other applicable certification and code requirements are maintained company wide. 7. Maintain all drawing related machinery including but not limited to plotters, copiers and related supplies.8. Help Director of Engineering insure that the company utilizes the most state of the art software for mechanical engineering, detailing and design.9. Directly responsible for customer’s/vendor’s perception of the Group, as well as the Department’s overall professionalism. 10. Facilitate Sales in winning the order.11. Responsible for notifying Project Manager for the Group of technical changes that impacts the schedule and/or the costs for all projects. 12. Manage the Group related internal Capital Expenditures.13. Insure all drawings for the Group are checked for accuracy and quality, whether created in-house or through outsourcing. 14. Insure that all drawings for projects for the Group are included in the Job Folder/Shop Packet and checked for accuracy and quality before submission to the shop for production.15. Redraw on Company title block all customer supplied drawings for contract orders such as AKSC Header contracts to insure that revisions are kept in house as proprietary information and properly relayed to the Production Manager for QC purposes.16. Create Shop Order Write Up and ITP (including Traveler and other related documents) for the Group.17Complete all shop packets for the Group, checking them for accuracy completeness before submitting to the Production Manager including:QC Form initiated at each kickoff meeting complete with Hold Points for each job.·  Production Order Write-up.·  Approval Drawings·  Dimensional Checklists·  Shipping papers (including itemized parts list)·  Certificate of Compliance·  Photographs·  NDE reports·  NDE personnel qualifications and certifications·  Code documentation18.
