Food Service Designer

FITCH, one of the world's most renowned retail design and strategy firms, is seeking an experienced Food Service Designer that has a food service design background to work in our Scottsdale, Arizona studio.  The successful candidate will efficiently and accurately prepare food service equipment drawings in direct relation to the Food and Beverage segment of the hospitality industry.

PRINCIPAL DUTIESAbility to perform site surveys and client feasibility studies of new and existing facilitiesDevelopment of food service equipment drawings (K-sheets) including but not limited to equipment plans, schedules, and dimensioned ‘rough-in’ drawings for M, P & E disciplinesDevelopment and production of support material such as equipment details, sections, elevations, specification manuals and food service design intent (DI) packagesReport client related issues and potential problems to Studio Director

QUALIFICATIONS / JOB KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

Two to five years architecture and interior design experience

Continuing education and membership in industry related associations.Strong client focus with attention to detailExcellent oral and written communication skillsKnowledge of project scope.Individual initiative and ability to work in a team environmentBasic knowledge of individual and chain dining concepts and requirementsFundamental understanding of mechanical, plumbing and electrical systemsKnowledge of environment health codes and governing regulationsHigh degree of creativity and productivity in space planning and schematic designExercise an ethical code of conduct when dealing with outside consultants and vendorsHigh level of dependability and quality of work on multiple projects in varying size and scope
