HSMM is searching for an Engineer 1 to: Prepare basic deliverables and products such as presentation materials, calculations, drawings, specifications, cost estimates related to heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems. Review applicable codes and criteria and examine field conditions as required to support development and completion of projects. Assist lead engineer in design tasks as required. Job Requirements: B.S. in an accredited engineering program. Completion of classes in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid flow behavior or similar classes or completion of one or more classes in HVAC design. Internship or co-op experience in HVAC related work. Engineer-In-Training certification desired. Physically able to climb ladders and enter utility manholes, tunnels, and other mechanical equipment spaces. Candidate must be willing to strive for Professional Engineer registration. Capable of or willing to learn the basics of CADD design and/or drafting. AutoCAD and/or MicroStation drafting experience. EEO M/F/D/V HVAC experience in the A/E industry.
