Electrical Designer III
Michael Baker Corporation, consistently ranked in the top 10% of Engineering News-Record’s Top 500 Design Firms, and with over 40 offices nationwide, is seeking an electrical designer for their Moon Township, PA location (close to Pittsburgh, PA).
Qualifications include a Two-Year Technical Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent or 10+ years experience in Facility (Building) design in the area of Commercial, Retail, Institutional/Higher Education, or Government Projects. Strong written and verbal communications skills required. The position provides opportunities for individual responsibility and career growth in an expanding organization. Also some opportunities for limited national and international work related travel. Applicants should demonstrate the willingness to operate in a team environment with limited supervisory direction applying engineering fundamentals to prepare drawings and specifications of electrical design elements for the engineer's approval. Technical requirements include AutoCAD or Micro Station drawing skills. Must have ability to utilize Excel spreadsheet for engineering calculations and have understanding and application of the requirements of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
