Director of Healthcare Architecture

Our client is a Global Architecture Firm specializing in many different industries.  We are looking for a Healthcare Director to be in charge of the Healthcare division in Houston.  Full Relocation provided; competitive salary + bonus. Qualifications

BA or MA Architecture.

Licensed Architect.

15+ years of experience; 5 years in similar managerial position.

Thorough knowledge – technical process or large-scale architectural projects with specific emphasis in healthcare.

Thorough understanding of project work plans, schedules, staffing, budgets.

Proficient with Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Project.

Ability to work with office management and project teams.

Ability to mentor, teach, train, and guide.

Proven and effective communication and leadership skills.

Roles and responsibilities

Service delivery

Maintain and ensure compliance with established project procedures.

Schedule and chair meetings with Healthcare Project Manager.

Oversee claims/risk management as related to Healthcare projects.

Responsible for project quality assurance.

Evaluate Healthcare staff capabilities.

Sign/seal construction documents.

Champion/motivate staff to raise quality of deliverables.

Serve as Houston liaison with Healthcare focus group.Project Financial Oversight

Submit monthly Healthcare fee projections.

Review Healthcare project contracts.

Review consultant fees and agreements.

Oversee invoicing and collections.

Review and approve Healthcare project budgeting.

Ensure Healthcare project profitability.

Review/assist in development of Healthcare project work plans.

Manage Healthcare project staffing needs and assignments.

Update fee projections/earnings.

Review architectural monthly earnings.

Approve weekly time sheets –monitor time to project and office budget and adjust in future to main profitability.

Participate in recruiting healthcare staff.

Support and mentoring programs for healthcare professionals.Business Development

Participate in selected marketing opportunities.

Assist in development of fee proposals for marketing proposals.

Develop annual business plan for Houston Healthcare in conjunction with Houston business unit.

Cultivate and maintain community involvement and relationships.

Participate in appropriate professional organizations.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with consultants, contractors and jurisdictional/approval agencies
