Our client, a reputable Architectural firm recognized in the Top 50 U.S. firms for revenue last year, is seeking a Construction Contract Administrator for a Direct- Hire position with the following: 5+ years of experience in Construction Contract AdministrationExperience as a project team memberExperienced in the construction phase of architectural servicesProficient in the use of Prolog.
Duties
The Construction Contract Administrator’s responsibilities include:Serve as a Contract Administration focal point for all Contracts between company & vendor/contractors. Monitor and assure that A/E and vendor contracting activities are in alignment with project objectives. Monitor and assure that all contracting activities (internal and external to the greatest extent practicable) are being executed in accordance with established protocol. Assure that all requests for proposals, including specifications and drawings, pre-award correspondence/teleconferences, pre-bid meetings, and post-bid meetings are included in the final contract document as appropriate. Review and evaluate proposals and coordinate/develop list of negotiating points and issues for post-bid resolution. Review opportunities and risks associated with a contract and insure sufficient contingency funds are available in the Total Evaluated Cost. Monitor and assure that all contract changes and/or amendments are handled in a timely manner. Respond to vendor/contractor documented event notices/issues/problems in accordance with contract terms and conditions. Initiate Owner correspondence when required to prompt vendor/contractor corrective action in accordance with terms and conditions. Lead major vendor/contractor progress meetings.Serve as the primary corporate to corporate communication contact between vendor/contractors and owner. Retain contract files.Lead/assist as required in resolving vendor/contractor claims and disputes.Assure that all contractual costs and schedule changes are communicated and incorporated into the forecast and schedule.Review/Comment and/or recommend cost and schedule recovery plans.Review all project estimates, identify errors and omissions, and risks/opportunities
