CADD Designer ESG SUMMARY: Duties for the CADD Designer ESG position include the operation of CADD work stations, plotters, printers, and other associated equipment to support the preparation of designs for industrial and infrastructure projects including investigations, assessments, engineering studies, designs, and construction-phase services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Work with engineers and senior designers to develop designs for industrial and infrastructure projects. Develop and draft mechanical, electrical/instrumentation, civil/structural and process design drawings that include equipment, control panels, electrical schematics and single lines, conduit and cable schedules, process piping and flow diagrams, etc. Support the preparation of engineering reports, cost estimates, specifications, construction schedules, and designs for projects. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Certificate from a college or technical school indicating CADD proficiency. Associate degree in Drafting/CADD preferred. Relevant experience required for this position, 10 years minimum. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Good working knowledge of the following software: AutoCAD 2007 and 3D design knowledge a plus. Ability to work on and prioritize a variety of technical assignments and complete work on schedule to the satisfaction of the requestor. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as databases, field notes, reports, specifications, maps, and engineering drawings. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and clients. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with basic engineering and mathematical concepts and principles and apply those concepts to design development. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply logical and technical understanding to carry out instructions received in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
