Territory Manager Position Description
Territory Manager Responsibilities
- Meet with residential & Commercial customers to monitor and diagnose landscapes
- Service existing client base, develop territory, identify and acquire new customers
- Organize & carry out own selling, crew supervising and related paper work
- Participate in various sales and marketing programs to generate sales, such as:
* client referrals
* direct mail campaigns
* community and industry networking
* presentations to horticultural associations, community organizations, garden clubs, etc.
*seasonal visits
- Produce job estimates and review proposals with prospects and clients
- Negotiate contracts & prepare bids for large jobs
- Submit paperwork for work order generation with detailed instructions for Crew Leader
- Supervise work being performed, check crews and complete jobs to clients’ satisfaction
- Handle client issues in a timely manner and in accordance to company policy.
Requirements:
Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Plant Pathology, Floriculture, Environmental Sciences, Biological Sciences or Business / Marketing preferred.
At least 1-2 years in sales
Ideal candidates will have:
* hands-on experience, knowledge of trees, ornamentals or turf management
* proven sales record, energy & charisma
* great listening skills
* excellent verbal & written communication skills
* the ability to develop new client relationships
* passion for nature & the outdoors
* ability to obtain or currently have Arborist Certification from the International Society of Arboriculture
