General Summary: Fast-growing biotechnology company has a new position with an exciting and challenging scope of responsibilities in synthesis of a number of protein-protein and protein-colloid conjugates. This is a key mid-level position participating in development of new assays and facilitating strong company growth. Be a part of the critical and expanding rare reagents department. Â

Reports to: Rare Reagents Manager

Skills Required: The applicant must have a good understanding of the fundamental principles of general organic chemistry and protein chemistry; good practical experience and skills in protein chemistry methods, such as HPLC, affinity chromatography, gel electrophoresis, and methods of protein modification and conjugation. An understanding of the fundamentals of immunochemistry is desirable. Must have strong analytical and writing skills, good computer skills, and the ability to work as part of project-specific teams.Â

Requirements: BS/BA in organic chemistry or biochemistry with two years hands-on research experience in an academic or industrial setting.
