Quality Assurance Chemist I

Quality Assurance Chemist IDescription: The Quality Assurance Chemist is to ensure products meet or exceed customer requirements for quality and food safety. Job responsibilities include final product approval, daily assessment of process quality parameters and quality assurance systems including calibration, maintenance, procedures, food safety, training, auditing and oversight of analytical testing performed in control rooms, data analysis, trend identification, troubleshooting, corrective action and communication with regard to processing data, final product and wastewater, as well as any other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Requirements: 4 year degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology or Biochemistry, or a 4 year degree in a Science related field with a minimum 1 year general Chemistry + labs, 1 year Organic Chemistry + labs, and at least 2 upper level courses relating to Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology, or Biochemistry.Must have experience working in Microsoft Excel and Outlook applications. Heavy Instrumentation skills are preferred. This position is a 12 hour rotating shift.
