Required Skills/Experience:  Bachelor’s degree required with over five years of experience in purchasing raw materials, equipment, supplies, and / or finished goods.Demonstrated experience in negotiating with vendors and suppliers to obtain favorable terms, and determine the most suitable supplier.Experience and knowledge in purchasing chemicals and / or packaging preferred.Knowledge and experience with SAP (MM module), or other related MRP software environment.)Ability to perform a wide variety of complicated tasks, while utilizing creative problem solving skills.Working knowledge of finance and accounting principles.Working knowledge of basic legal / contract law principles.Excellent and effective oral & written communication and interpersonal skills. Relies on experience and personal judgment to implement decisions and actions.High degree of proficiency in MS Office suite.Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships at all levels of the organization.Solid forecasting and planning skills. Job Summary:

Responsible for purchasing raw materials, packaging components, 3rd party finished goods, and active ingredients based on demand planning driven by MR.P.  Works closely with other Supply Chain disciplines including production planning and logistics to coordinate material availability.  Coordinates product purchases with commercial product management in accordance with latest market demand and trends.  Work with quality control to understand product specifications, and ensure compliance.  Communicate with suppliers utilizing on and off-site meetings, which may include some travel (20% or less).  Conduct analysis and negotiate to obtain best possible price, terms, and quality.  Work with legal department to understand and execute appropriate supply contracts.   



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for purchasing raw materials, packaging, finished goods, and active ingredients.Works with cost accounting to prepare standard cost, ppv analysis, and annual budget.Interface with commercial production planning, logistics, product management, business development, and other internal functions.Understand and execute supply contracts.Attends S&OP meetings.Assists in quality control matters.
