Live Operations Service Representative SUMMARY:  This position acts as a liaison between the Live Production Manager and growers to assist growers with management of the flocks with providing Live Production with pertinent information from the field. Reports To:  Live Production Manager  Salaried – Exempt ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assure growers readiness to receive chicks. Reports minimum of four weekly bird postings during grow cycle, including day old chick posts. Assesses and reports on grower’s buildings and growing condition. Vaccinates birds and reports mortality. Participates in grower meetings. Performs monthly feed mill visits to provide feedback fro the growers. Maintains direct contact with the egg supplier and with contract hatchery to provide feedback from growers. Communicates with growers the placement and kills dates for birds. Provides ongoing feedback and assistance to growers to assist in managing growth and health of flocks. QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Experience:Preferred:  Bachelors of Science in Animal Science, Agriculture or related field.Expected:  Experience in agriculture field, preferably poultry.  Knowledge of animal science and agriculture. Communication Skills: Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret training periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Other skills: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must have valid driver’s license. Must be able to work independently. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusion. Excellent communication, motivational, organizational, multi-tasking skills.
