Functional Analyst

We are currently seeking a Functional Analyst at our headquarters in Johnston.

 

The Functional Analyst is responsible for the development of complex computer applications that meet defined worldwide business needs. This individual is responsible for providing technical guidance and mentoring to the application development staff and is called on to be expert in one or more functional areas (modules) of SAP (or equivalent ERP software).

 

Analyze, design, prototype, configure, test, document, and implement new or modify existing software to support various business processes. Assignments are often complex and require expertise on multiple platforms. Assist project teams by providing in-depth technical and/or SAP functional knowledge needed to resolve highly complex issues.


Maintain expert knowledge of current SAP functionality and configuration tools while investigating new functionality and configuration tools or other software as needed. Lead the way as we migrate to new technical tools and software. Responsible for promoting standards and best practices within and across groups.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 2-5 years experience or equivalent required. Must have Functional Analysis skills, a deep understanding of an entire horizontal process chain, expert understanding of at least 2 related SAP modules, and typically 2 years SAP production support experience.
