We are currently seeking an EHS Manager for our Carlsbad, NM location.  We are looking for an Environment, Health and Safety leader at our Carlsbad facility.  The EHS Manager leads a staff of six and reports to the site General Manager and the Potash Corporate VP of EHS.

 

Principle Accountabilities:

 

·  Lead the safety, environment, security, emergency response and workers compensation programs

 

·  Manage safety compliance program training and inspection

 

·  Manage environmental permitting and compliance, new permits, inspections, tailings, property management

 

·  Supervise direct reporting salaried employees and indirectly supervise up to 20 long-term and seasonal workers

 

·  Lead the auxiliary programs: security, cafeteria, wellness and corrective action audits

Required Education, Experience, Skills:

 

 Bachelor’s of Science degree in Engineering or Physical Science or Environmental Safety is preferred.Certified Mine Safety Professional is desired15 years Mine safety/environment experienceCommunication and interpersonal skills, integrity, are core requirements.
