District Sales Manager - Alexandria, VA
This position is a combination of office administration, managing sales process, quality control, safety regulations, and prospecting for potential future work. Coordinates all district activities from production, operations to sales and office coordination. Ability to be a pro-active effective decision maker with positive outcomes in mind. Includes supervision of all members of the district including working with PHC Coordinator, District Foreman, and office staff to achieve all district safety and sales goals. Daily budgeting and managing of the P&L, GL, inventory and supplies, and expenses. Must have the knowledge and familiarity of competitors within local demographics, marketing campaigns and sales materials to meet sales goals. Ability to wear many hats at one time along with managing multiple deadlines and prioritizing workloads. Conduct all required meetings with respective staff employees. Able to coach, mentor, train and develop all staff members to reach desired outcomes. Be an effective leader, always approachable and open to hearing employees with any problems or issues that arise. Aids in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of staff. Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to both internal and external clients Possesses excellent leadership skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage a large number of employees Must be certified arborist to understand trees & needs (3+years) orbackground in Foresty, Urban Forestry, Urban Forest Management, Arboriculture is a must. Must be proficient and effective in pricing and proposal preparation Intermediate computer skills are required (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Common knowledge of all financial aspects of running a business Preferably have over 3 years experience managing a group or team Bachelor Degree with Business Management emphasis preferred but not required Ability to coordinate, delegate, prioritize, multi-task, and assist all district needs Ability to work some extended hours including weekends as needed Will be responsible for accomplishing required sales goals, delivering performance reviews, and completing corrective action of all district employees Follow, abide, and lead in all safety rules and policies of The Care of Trees Responsible for organizing the office to ensure efficiency, dependability, quality work, safe operation, and profitability Successfully able to analyze sell-through information to project seasonal sales, identify inconsistencies, sales forecasting, and recommend forecasting revisions Company: The Care of Trees Location: Alexandria, VA 22310 Salary/Wage: Based on experience Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Business/Strategic Management Relevant Work Experience: 2+ to 5 Years Career Level: Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) Industry: Agriculture/Forestry/Fishing Occupations: General/Other: Business/Strategic Management Industry: Agriculture/Forestry/Fishing Email: Apply by Email
