Demand Planning Analyst

The Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for implementing and maintaining the process & system for creating the global demand forecast for Seminis vegetable business with sales of $650M and will provide strategic guidance and continue to develop the best practices on global demand process.
 
In this role the candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Support the implementation of the new demand forecast process in the APO/DP environment; provide training support as needed. 
- Assist in gathering consensus and buy-in from 4 regions and other stakeholders on new process changes and/or create additional reporting to enable sales, sales management, and RPM’s/crop teams to analyze information faster and better.
- Ensure day to day activities and operation of APO/DP system is running smoothly. : maintain all necessary data in APO/DP for end-users
- Liaise with Sales organization, regional forecast coordinators, and IT to continuously improve practice for creating initial sales forecast
- Assist in the development/maintenance of forecast accuracy process and support system associated with. Support inventory utilization efforts through the development of improved reporting tools
- Support product life cycle and portfolio management objectives driven by regional product management
- Matrix organization with “regional forecasters” to provide guidance and alignment to communicate and support the demand forecast process within the region.
- Interactions will be global and will include Seminis management team and multiple functions like marketing, sales, IT, finance and manufacturing. 

Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years professional experience with operations and/or process improvement/implementation experience
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skills. 
- An ability to influence and gain consensus across the organization and work with different cultures, functions, and levels in the organization.
- Strong process management orientation with a demonstrated ability to identify and affect key process variables
- Ability to visualize/articulate and lead process improvements with stakeholders and implement change across the global organization.
