BCS is structured into six Business Operations units: four regional crop protection units and two units responsible for Environmental Science and BioScience – offering an outstanding range of products and extensive service backup for modern, sustainable agriculture as well as for non-agricultural applications.ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibility of this role as CRM Analyst is to support, coordinate and execute CRM strategies specific to Horticulture crops, products and customers to achieve sales and market share targets through supporting the assigned Integrated Crop Portfolio Managers, National Operations Team, Commercial Operation sales and Product Managers with management, analysis and reporting of grower and transactional customers’ information and data.The incumbent will: - Assist in Customer Relationship and Customer Experience strategy development; - Identify and develop and/or source information needed to support Horticulture business and integrate into the CropScience FOCUS database; - Support the net income generation; - Execute BCS’ CRM analysis activities; - Design and execute planned CRM analyses; - Initiate, optimize and standardize CRM analytic techniques; - Plan and execute planned customer insight work, including segmentation, surveys and focus groups; - Identify the segmentation needs of the Horticulture market and implement plans; - Continually update and maintain business knowledge for products and customers; - Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of various CRM tactics and techniques (through pilots, statistical analysis, etc.); - Execute high priority ad hoc requests for analytic support from marketing and sales leadership; - Initiate and develop new CRM tactics from concept through implementation; - Develop and deliver training materials on CRM tactics to marketing and sales organization; - Be a partner to field force and marketing in delivering supporting CRM functionality on tools, techniques and data, including testing and validating support functionality, training, and ensuring integrity of software and key data inputs; - Survey key users to gather feedback on tactics, optimize CRM tactics over time; - Establish database improvement needs and oversee the execution of improvements; - Support launch of software functionality by testing new software prior to launch; - Support change management of CRM; - Develop communications materials to build and maintain engagement of critical stakeholders esp. product management, sales leadership; - Proactively identify and drive for quick wins from CRM; - Travel (expectation is 10-20%).QualificationsThe selected candidate will possess: - Bachelors degree in Science, Engineering or Business with training in statistical analysis; an MBA is a highly desired plus; - Minimum of five years business experience and the following functional experience and attributes: * - Ability to translate analytical findings into practical implementation plans; - Learning orientation, responsive to feedback; - Strong analytical and financial skills with demonstrated ability to develop and interpret complex datasets and businesses into workable models and conclusions that can address strategic business issues; - Demonstrated ability to draw accurate conclusions from quantitative material; - Demonstrated ability to take complex models and present the information simplistically; - Strong presentation skills, able to present persuasively to all levels in the organization; - Demonstrated adaptability when confronted with changes and ambiguity; - Self-directed. Proven ability to take initiative and deliver results without extensive direction; - Demonstrated ability to initiate and manage a large number of projects simultaneously; - Proficiencies include advanced computer knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Internet, Powerpoint and Outlook/Lotus notes; - Excellent problem solving skills with ability to transform data into useful information; - Strong written and oral communication skills; - Ability to understand and support development of marketing programs and communication plans; - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to create and maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external customers; - Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment; - Ability to maintain highly confidential information; - Ability to travel (expectation is 10-20%);Preferred Qualifications - MBA; - Prior CRM experience; - Working knowledge of crop protection market distribution channels and business cycles; - General understanding of agricultural crop markets; - Knowledge of key functional interfaces within Bayer CropScience to assure rapid fulfillment of customer needs; - Understanding of Bayer CropScience sales policies and procedures to provide accurate interpretation for internal and external customers; - Hands-on experience with SAP, Base SAS, Stayinfront, MapInfo, SQL, Oracle, Time2Web, FOCUS database; - Prior experience as Trainer and/or developing training courses and materials.Bayer BenefitsWe offer a wide variety of competitive compensation and benefit programs.
