Pilgrim's Pride is seeking a Continuous Improvement Advisor I for our Nacogdoches, TX location.
This position assists in maintaining responsibility for the oversight, development and management of Continuous Improvement and its' related training initiatives for the complex, plant, site or location. This position also assists in ensuring CI is the basis upon which we operate and continue to grow our business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Acts as an advisor, manager, and project coordinator, helping the facility identify problems and assisting and monitoring projects relating to solutions as they pertain to CI.
• Maintains responsibility for team and project facilitation, coordination, scheduling, documentation and reporting.
• Assists in providing training and development.
• Helps management understand and communicate not only the "big picture" but how each process and every partner fits into PPC a a whole.
• Bridges the gap between theory and practice by nurturing the development, leadership and effectiveness of the facility's management team.
Basic Qualifications:
• Requires a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
• General knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Total Quality Management is preferred.
• Must have excellent organizational skills including the ability to multi-task.
• Must have excellent communication skills, including coaching, teaching, educating, leading and facilitating.
• Expected to learn and use team facilitation and training skills, as well as, Project Management skills and techniques.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including some nights, weekends, and minimal travel (Approximately 25%, depending on divisional objectives and corporate initiatives.)
• Must have a high degree of diplomacy, tact, and problem solving skills.
• Bilingual skills are strongly preferred.
Educational Requirements:
Typically requires Bachelor's degree in a related field; however, additional related work experience will be considered in lieu of the education requirement.
