We seek a motivated CATEGORY MANAGER CONTRACT LABOR & STAFFING at our St. Louis, MO facility who will be responsible for all aspects of global category management for contract labor and staffing categories including but not limited to:

Establishing and implementing category management strategies playbooks, milestones, goals and objectives. Leading a cross-functional category management team. Conducting supply market analysis and cost models. Developing and implementing negotiation strategies. Managing supplier performance. Serving as a mentor to Buyers and other team members. Networking and sharing best practices across Monsanto’s procurement organizations.

The successful candidate will possess the following experience/skills: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field. (MBA preferred.) 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in procurement or related field Proficiency in procurement fundamentals such as bidding processes & techniques, negotiating basics, contract terms, and total cost analysis Periodic travel (domestic and international) may be required.

Desired experience/skills: Experience in indirect sourcing and supply management – particularly in contract or temporary labor including staff augmentation and project based engagements. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strategic thinker High level of enthusiasm, energy and motivation to learn and succeed. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects Self-directed Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
