Ag Service Technician

Job Functions:  Performs diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural equipment. 

 

Essential Job Duties: 

  Performs basic/complex agricultural equipment diagnostics and determines what repairs are needed, if required. Performs basic/complex agricultural equipment repairs as directed/requested by the Service Manager. Participates in all job related training and development. Prepares and completes all required job related paperwork. Maintains current product knowledge of John Deere agricultural equipment. Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, equipment, and work area.

Skills and Qualifications: 

  Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair of agricultural equipment. Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Excellent skills in operating tools and equipment used for diagnosing complex electrical and hydraulic power systems. Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays and in various weather conditions. Must have basic computer skills.
