ACCOUNT MANAGER

 

Company Overview:  Professional services firm providing business consulting services to agricultural retailers in the areas of strategy, M&A, support, profitability improvement initiatives, training and development, business planning and marketing planning.

 

Position Overview:  The Account Manager will perform sales and account management for business consulting services.

 

Responsibilities:

 Generate revenue by building relationships with current accounts. 
 Generate revenue by identifying and developing new business opportunities in the territory. 

· Effectively match client needs to business solutions by identifying and recommending effective processes and techniques, monitoring new approaches and using alternative approaches to identify and meet client specific needs.

 

· Developing account and business plans, utilizing internal company resources to broaden the relationships with various accounts, preparing proposals and contracts and accurate reporting of activities and results.

 

· Ensure client satisfaction by managing projects to meet/exceed client expectation by active involvement in project design, implementation and delivery, accurately defining client vision and expectations in proposals and contracts, ensuring effective communication and decision making by the project team, managing changing client expectations, negotiating change orders and performing client satisfaction follow-up.

 

Achieve sales volume goals by meeting the following:Quarterly and annual sales volume objectivesSpecific client sales volume objectivesCompany profitability goalsSales call goalsNew business prospect goalsWeekly call report goalsProduct mix goals

 Internal management functions by collaborating with the accounting department to achieve timely invoicing and effectively managing sales travel and marketing expenses.

 

Requirements:

 Bachelor’s degree, requiredMinimum of 3-4 years relevant sales work experience, required; sales experience in an Agribusiness or Agricultural related industryProven client management skillsProject management skills with the ability to multi-taskStrong facilitation and written communication skillsWorking proficiency in Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel, and Word
