We currently have an opening for a Supplier Quality Engineer **FAA Covered**. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and communicate expectations for supplier quality performance, continuous improvement, quality systems, process controls infrastructure for high leverage/critical sustaining parts and new products sourced to contract manufacturers. Responsible for evaluating supplier performance and taking action to improve the cost effectiveness and cycle times associated with supplied products. Perform and coordinate supplier surveys for both quality systems and process controls. Must possess the technical competence and initiative to independently develop inspection plans for receiving inspection; perform surveys/audits and inspection tasks at supplier's facilities. Function as a liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve supplier quality issues and provide technical support. Some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. REQUIREMENTS: Complete understanding and application of Supplier Quality principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Full knowledge of Aerospace industry regulations and practices. 6 years of Supplier Quality Engineering plus BA degree in Engineering or 4 years of Supplier Quality Engineering experience plus an MBA degree. PREFERRED: ASQ Certification (CQE, CQA) Ability to set up risk mitigations with suppliers The position for which you applied is considered a 'covered' position.
