Supervisor, Receiving Inspection

Supervisor, Receiving Inspection

 

Responsibilities:

 

- Supervise technicians and inspectors in the Receiving Inspection Department

- Provide guidance and direction to staff on inspection methods, including sampling inspection techniques.

- Provide training and coaching in Quality Control and Assurance procedures, processes and methodologies.

- Develop metrics and monitor supplier performance regarding quality and delivery.

- Recommend opportunities for continuous improvement.

- Develop supplier improvement teams with Engineering, Materiel, and Manufacturing

- Analyze problems and provide recommendations for corrective action

 

Qualifications:

 

- At least 5+ years supervisory experience in Inspection and QA processes

- Experience/knowledge of commercial and military standards for electrical components and hardware.

- Experience in inspecting and testing electrical components, LCDs, and precise mechanical parts.

- Knowledge of soldering criteria to J-STD 001, IPC-610 and Circuit Board Assembly desired.

- Knowledge of inspection, configuration, measurement methods and techniques

- Comprehensive knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods

- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma preferred

- Bachelors degree in Engineering or technical field

- Excellent communication, organization, analytical, and PC skills

- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience a plus. ASTRONAUTICS CORPORATION OF AMERICA
