The majority of work will be conducted in NexGen's in-house system development and integration environments. Opportunities will exist for individuals to mix 'lab' oriented tasks with 'client' oriented tasks. Responsibilities:' Work closely with development team members regarding system enhancements, regression testing, evaluations/verifications, ongoing performance assessments, integration and testing. ' Use system requirements documents and software bug reports to generate test plans and procedures. Use test procedures to execute tests, including generation of any scripts needed to facilitate testing. Be able to document test results and provide input to bug status reports.' Work in a hands-on computer lab environment using computer based analysis tools and sophisticated test equipment to evaluate and assess communication system operation and performance. ' Perform daily/weekly system maintenance activities and prepare summary performance reports to be presented at regular team meetings.' Interface with customers for training, demonstrations, user provisioning and technical support.Requirements:' BS in Electrical engineering or software engineering or applicable experience' Experience performing system-level black box and white box validation.' Designing and writing Windows PC-based and microcontroller-based tests in one or more of the following languages: Lab Windows, Lab View, MatLab, Perl, shell-scripts, C, C++, C#. ' Develop test plans for embedded systems test and verification. The test includes software module test, function test, regression test, and stress test.' Candidate must have a strong ability to diagnose and troubleshoot system performance issues, analyze data, and utilize numerical data to identify issues and draw conclusions. ' A strong attention to detail is required. ' Active Security Clearance is desired.
