Sr. Software Engineer- Windows/ Linux

RESPONSIBILITIES:' Work with internal and external customers to develop product requirements and designs.' Design and develop application software on Linux and MS Windows platforms.' Propose creative solutions to meet unique customer needs in a rapid fashion. ' Develop and/or support development of software and product documentation.' Participate in software and documentation reviews. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: ' Comfortable working in quick reaction projects, agile development environment.' Excellent written and verbal communications skills.' Excellent C++ and/or C# coding skills.' Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.' Ruby on Rails or other Web application development experience a plus.' Adherence to proper configuration management and documentation practices.' Network protocol development experience a plus.' Database experience a plus.' Windows Mobile experience a plus. REQUIREMENTS:' The qualifications for the position include: ' B.S. degree in engineering, computer science, computer programming or other related field.' 5-7 years software engineering experience.' Strong analytical and problem solving skills.' Active US Government Security Clearance is preferred.
