Sr Java Software Engineer

As a contributing member to the National Data Exchange (N-DEx) team, provide operations support for a new system that is being delivered in a series of incremental releases. The majority of this work includes troubleshooting a new system, identifying potential root causes of problems, formulating and coordinating potential solutions, documenting potential solutions to those problems with the N-DEx development team, and incorporating those changes into an upcoming operational release. Required Skills : - BS degree in Information Systems or related discipline (or equivalent experience) and 4 + years web-based development experience. - Must have programming experience in a high-level language (C, Java, etc.) - Must have knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design techniques - Must be ability to work as part of a software engineering team - Must have hands on experience with at least one of the following: Java, C, Weblogic application server, Weblogic portal server, Oracle 11i, Web services or PL/SQL - Must have active Secret clearance Qualified applicants may be subject to a background investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship is required. Desired Skills: Editing and proofing skills are preferred.
