Custom Job Purpose
Provide direct support to the Plans, Intelligence and Training Division of the 1st Information Operations (IO) Command (Land) and perform duties as an all-source intelligence analyst.

Responsibilities
Job Summary
Receives, analyzes, disseminates and stores intelligence information as well as integrating incoming information with intelligence holdings and prepares related reports and briefings. Support also includes, but is not limited to; reviewing and conducting research and analysis on the full range (tactical, operational, strategic) of IO related orders, directives, policies, and initiatives at the Service, Joint, and DoD levels. In addition this position will provide operational and strategic planning guidance on IO in support of the Land Component Commander, JTFs and COCOMs. Specific assignment and tasks will be based on experience level.
Additional Responsibilities
- Participate and provide guidance in the strategic and operational IO planning in support of Land Component Commanders.
- Draft briefings and Information Papers - often on short notice.
- Facilitate 1st IO Cmd staff actions - includes staff actions with/between other staffs.
- Attend meeting/briefings as requested in support of 1st IO Cmd initiatives/actions - provide minutes/feedback.
- Maintain awareness of emerging IO initiatives throughout DoD, the other Services, and in the Joint community.
- Assist with pre-deployment training when requested.
- Provide critical and objective review of draft Army FMs/Doctrine.
- Provide critical and objective review of Army IO related Directives, Policies and Orders.
- Provide critical and objective review of other Services, Joint, and DoD IO related actions/initiatives.
- Travel (TDY) as requested in support of 1st IO Cmd initiatives - provide Trip Reports.
- Be prepared to deploy in support of FSD missions/taskings. Qualifications
- MS Word and Power Point literate
- Service and Joint level planning experience desired.
- Combat arms background and Operations experience desired.
- Experience in IO is preferred.
- Individual must be able to work effectively as a team member.
- Self-starter with the ability to integrate and analyze data from various sources, identify intelligence gaps, collection requirements, determine changes in target capabilities, vulnerabilities, and probable courses of action, and prepare and conduct related reports and briefings.
- Strong report writing and presentation preparation skills.
- Ability to travel on short notice in order to coordinate ongoing projects and support deployed teams.
- This is an ideal position for a senior Captain or retired Major/LTC with operational experience.
