Knowledge and mastery of federal laws and regulations including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS), and agency specific regulations. Develop and analyze program strategies and determine acquisition requirements to meet Milestone requirements. Knowledge of DoD and SECNAV 5000 Series documents. Ability to read regulatory policy and related acquisition guidance, interpret the guidance to a stated situation, and implement the concepts presented in the guidance. Develops clear timelines for delivery of documents, identifies resources required for each task and Knowledge of acquisition and project management principles as well as program status tracking techniques. Leads development of key acquisition documents. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Must have good communication skills and be a team player. The position is for supporting major Marine Corps C4I programs and ensuring successful milestone decisions across multiple projects.QualificationsThis position requires a Bachelors degree and 10 years of related experience with increasing responsibilities. Candidates for this position will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship required. ACAT 1, II & III program experience minimum 5 years recent experience in acquisition support. Desired ACQ 401, ACQ 201 required, DAWIA Level III (equivalent) Program Management and/or PMP desired. Experience with acquisition efforts across DoD ACAT 1, II, and III programs. Experience with DoD 5000 procedures, writing SOW?s and SOO?s. Experience and understanding the JCIDS Process and FAR regulations and execution of acquisition programs. Ability to recommend and write acquisition, business, contract, and support strategies and associated plans tailored to the specific needs of a program. Participated in the development of: Clinger-Cohen Act, Capabilities Development Document (CDD), and Capabilities Production Document (CPD).
