Quality Engineer

QUALITY ENGINEER

A thorough understanding of standards for quality management systems including general aviation and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulation and requirements AS9100 experience is a must.  NADCAP knowledge a plus.

 

JOB FUNCTION: Under minimal supervision, plans and conducts quality audits internally and externally, leads operational process improvement through metrics, problem identification, root cause analysis and developing and implementing corrective action. Takes a proactive role in helping drive continuous improvement throughout the organization. Ensures successful design and implementation of the metrics, quality plans, Statistical Process Controls, and internal audits.  Provides quality training, consulting, and standards interpretations.  Specifically responsible for Corrective Action analysis and will lead a Corrective Action Board.  Performs other duties as requested by the Quality Manager.

 

QE (Corrective Action) must have corrective action training such as Apollo or similar background.  Must have performed corrective action with an Aerospace Company. 

 

QE (Measurement) needs hands on with measurement equipment such as Laser Trackers, Portable Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM) such as the FARO ARMS or Coordinate Measuring Machines. Need working knowledge with 3D Models and CATIA.

 

Quality Engineering experience (5-10 years).

Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.

 

SALARY: DOE  ($55,000-$70,000/yr)
