Production Control Supervisor (SBCT 5) (E)

GDLS provides a full spectrum of land and amphibious combat systems, subsystems, and components worldwide. The company designs and builds armored vehicles and subsystems for the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, and international customers, and is the defense industry's largest supplier of armored military vehicles.Description of Work: Provide supervision for up 13 team members by assigning tasks based on skills, abilities, and workload using mission priorities to maintain brigade fleet operational readiness of 90% or above. • Supervises priority of parts effort for a brigade fleet supporting up to 310 Stryker platforms with repair parts processing. • Coordinate and interface with customer representatives at the brigade and battalion command levels and program manager office representatives. • Conduct hands on training or sustainment training program for General Dynamics Land Systems mechanics and United States Army Mechanics, Operators or Leaders. • Supervise and perform preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on HMMWV's, Forklifts and other support equipment. • Supervise repair parts process, (accountability, shipping, receiving, storage, packaging of material and technical documentation both manual and automated). • Complete administrative forms and other paperwork related to performance of duties. • Provide supervision and leadership for 13 person team supporting the US Army in peacetime and war. • Supervise personnel in accordance with ISO processes. • Provide supervision and property accountability for all assigned property. • Supervise personnel readiness (hiring, finance, travel, time reporting, deploy ability, safety and discipline). Job Requirements: • Military school trained Logistics, Supply (such as US Army MOS 92A, 92Y). Documented commercial training and/or experience acceptable. Field experience on fielded Stryker variants mandatory. • Five (5) to 10 years of related experience. Equivalent military service acceptable. * Six (6) to 10 years of supervisory experience. • Associate degree recommended or equivalent technical certification. Bachelor's degree preferred. • Strong interpersonal skills, communication (Verbal and Written), and supervisory skills. • Working knowledge of supply and supply management (stock control and accounting, warehousing, location surveys and inventories). • Working knowledge of The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) and maintenance shop operations. • Relocate to vicinities of Fort Richardson, AK, Ft. Wainwright, AK, Ft. Lewis, WA, Yakima, WA, Fort Irwin, CA, Ft. Polk, LA and other CONUS and OCONUS training sites. • Travel to remote CONUS/OCONUS locations on short notice to support contingency operations. Be able to obtain US passport. • Work in improved and unimproved maintenance facilities as well as field environment. • Occasional work in confined space within vehicle interior. • Potential for exposure to temperature extremes in performance of duties. • Physical requirements: Must pass company required deployment physical. • Meet requirements of SP 2-644. • Normal color vision. • Dexterity in fingers of both hand. • Carry 70lbs (tool box or parts) up to 50'. • Multicultural work experience preferred. • Administrative and office skills required (Microsoft Office, EXCEL and Power Point). • U.S. Army/Military, Standard Army Maintenance System (SAMS), Unit Level Logistics System (ULLS), The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS).
