Manufacturing Specialist/Technical Trainer(s)at RCBI

The Robert C. Byrd Institute for Advanced Flexible Manufacturing (RCBI), West Virginia’s Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center, is accepting resumes for Manufacturing Specialist/Technical Trainer(s). 

Responsibilities: The specialist/trainer will deliver industry-based training projects including Manufacturing Processes, Blueprint Reading, Precision Measurement, Materials, Geometric Tolerancing, CAD/CAM, Mold Design, Die Design, Jigs & Fixtures, and others. A component includes providing outreach and information about RCBI service offerings; and assessing, identifying and conducting customized technical training based on manufacturers’ needs. Travel is required.

Work Experience/Educational Background:  An Associate/Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent years of industrial experience that includes a strong technical background in manufacturing. Hands-on instruction or training experience highly preferred. Excellent computer, written and oral communications skills are preferred; with particular emphasis on CAD including AutoCAD, Mechanical Desktop or Solid Edge and CAM including MasterCAM, SurfCAM and Virtual Gibbs. The ability to work independently to fulfill duties and responsibilities is necessary and the successful candidate must demonstrate a high degree of initiative and the ability to work as part of the RCBI team.

Salary:  Commensurate with education and experience.
