Logistics Analyst III
The Systems Engineering Group (SEG) of QinetiQ North America provides high-value engineering, software solutions, logistics information management, flight training and IT technical support services to the U.S. Department of Defense, allied governments and select commercial partners.

Responsible for the entire life cycle of a product, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources. Responsible for the development of logistics documentation. Enhances product workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory. Identifies and analyzes logistics elements associated with acquisition, development, and deployment of products. May conduct quantitative analysis in support of complex systems using various modeling techniques including Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), spares requirements analysis, supply chain management, and weapon system readiness. Analyzes contractual commitments, customer specifications, and related information to identify and document maintenance and support requirements. Develops and reviews procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost. Gathers data in support of audits and assessments and in the development of logistics deliverables. Assists in developing and preparing manuals, bulletins, and information systems to provide logistics support. Assists with Analysis of Alternatives and Performance Based Logistics Plan, provide guidance for Unique Identification (UID) requirements (DoD mandate), develop bills of materials for spares procurements, coordinate with engineering staff as new requirements are developed and implemented. May be required to provide input to acquisition documentation. May provide direction and guidance to lower level employees.QualificationsThe Logistics Analyst is responsible for performing the logistics support functions for Command and Control (C2) systems. Responsibilities would involve but not be limited to completing logistics support analysis; defining requirements for system/platform operations, maintenance and repair; development of appropriate level logistics documentation (i.e., plans, analysis reports); planning the provisioning of logistics support and equipment for base operations; and planning all training needs and requirements associated with the systems. Provide subject matter expertise regarding supportability/logistics to include all supportability elements (manpower, training, reliability, availability and maintainability, human factors integration, manuals, installation, fielding, etc. to support the Tactical Collaborative Work Suite (TCWS) with the definition and implementation of the systems supportability strategies/plans. Provide subject matter expertise while conducting investigations and studies and presenting recommendations and solutions related to short and long-range program planning requirements while accessing and reducing risk areas. Develop, update, and amend acquisition logistics documentation. Provide advice and assistance to the project office that directly affects the conduct and attainment of program goals and objectives. Participate in WIPTs, technical exchange, IPRs and other related meetings. Perform the duties as the Government witness at logistics test events, demonstrations, and configuration audits.Generally requires a Bachelors Degree and 5 years of related experience.Knowledgeable in logistic methodologies and process for logistics supportin an IT environment.Proficiency with Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Projectrequired.Four (4) years demonstrated proficiency with DoD Acquisition Policy.Experience with developing statements of work and requests for proposalsdesired.Candidates for this position will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship required.
