Estimating & Pricing Specialist 3/4 Position Description Supporting Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Finance Estimating and Pricing, the selected candidate will: Apply knowledge of estimating and pricing processes to develop detail and parametric estimates from drawings, engineering work statements, configuration memos, and high level statements of work. Research, analyze, and interpret historical data to support estimates and cost models. Develop solutions to a variety of complex problems, utilizing personal innovation in conjunction with established precedents and policies. Develop and maintain estimating tools, data, and cost estimating relationships. Provide cost and/or price information to cross-functional teams, management, and customers. Support/lead Cost Reduction initiatives and efforts. Perform various economic analysis (internal rate of return [IRR], return on investment [ROI], break-even analysis, risk analysis, sensitivity analysis) and present results to cross-functional teams, management, and customers. Mentor lower level employees and work in developing the overall skills and capabilities of the organization. The successful candidate must work well on teams and demonstrate a history of leadership qualities, strong organizational and analytical skills, sound business judgment, multitasking ability, and strong customer satisfaction skills. Motivated and a self starter with good communication skills needed. Individual must be able to work independently and in a team environment, and display ability to complete and manage projects with a minimum of instruction. The ideal candidate will show urgency, flexibility, and ownership in their daily work practices as well as a strong work ethic. Thorough understanding of financial concepts, Risk management and analysis practices, estimating and pricing concepts and principles, and industry practices is required. Individual must possess strong personal computer skills with a proven ability in EXCEL (including charting), ACCESS database, and PowerPoint. The positions will be located either in Everett, Renton, or Auburn, WA. [ + ] Estimating Methods Basic - Complete knowledge of estimating techniques and relationships used in practical application (e.g., cost models, cost estimating relationships). Preferred -Extensive and specialized knowledge of business case analysis to effectively perform functional responsibilities of the occupation. Education and/or Experience Level 3 - Bachelor's and 6 to 9 years' related work experience, a Master's degree and 4 to 7 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Level 4 - Bachelor's degree and 10 to 14 years' related work experience, a Master's degree and 8 to 12 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
