Job Description

Position:  Electrical Engineer

Experienced electrical engineer to perform design, development, and production of flight control hardware systems in a multidisciplinary avionics and aerospace environment.

 

Specific Responsibilities:Analyze flight control concept designs and design requirements based on project requirements; write design requirements documents Perform analog circuit design for sensor integration and digital design for microprocessor interfacing Perform prototype board level testing and debugging Collaborate with software and mechanical design engineers in planning, design and development of systems Develop hardware and electrical interface designs and specifications in conjunction with design team and enforce interface control documents Create and maintain product and circuit design schematics and related technical documents Write engineering test requirements and system/subsystem test plans; perform testing Participate in system and hardware Design Reviews

Measures of Performance Analyze flight control concept designs and design requirements based on project requirements and scope Write design requirements documents to meet defined and anticipated customer needs and system quality and performance standards Perform analog circuit design for sensor integration and digital design for microprocessor interfacing to meet technological and customer requirements Perform prototype board level testing and debugging to identify required modifications and ensure optimum system performance at delivery Collaborate with software and mechanical design engineers in planning, design and development of systems to ensure software and hardware performance and compatibility Develop hardware and electrical interface designs and specifications and enforce interface control documents to record and validate system performance standards and results Create and maintain product and circuit design schematics and related technical documents in accordance with documentation and configuration management procedures Write engineering test requirements and system/subsystem test plans in accordance with established procedures Participate in hardware Design Reviews to maintain highest quality level within project schedules

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline required.  3-5 years of electrical engineering experience including hardware design and development; defining and documenting requirements, testing and debugging, system integration and implementation.

 

Experience must include demonstrated analog and digital design ability including analog signal conditioning and digital design using ORCAD, AutoCad, and related engineering and diagnostic tools and equipment.  Knowledge and experience with the aerospace industry, vehicle control, algorithm development preferred.  

 

Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance may be required for certain projects or programs.

US Citizenship/Permanent Resident Status is required for ITAR/EAA controlled projects or programs. 



Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in applicable engineering or science field, or, in the absence of an bachelor's degree, six years of related engineering experience.

Applicant must be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. US Citizenship is required.
