DVT Test Engineer
Position Summary:Participate in the design and development of microprocessor based single board systems supporting Signal Processing applications. Develop new, and enhance existing diagnostics, Build in Test (BIT), Manufacturing tests, and utilities. Position Responsibilities: · Follow established software development process, and design, implement, and functional test of DVT software, Manufacturing software, and Built-In-test.· Participate in hardware architecture and design, design diagnostic software to validate hardware design and functionality, and provide maximum test coverage. Assist in board bring-up and troubleshooting prototype hardware.· Interface with Manufacturing team, design manufacturing tests and support production tests. · Analyze customer requirements and design and validate BITs.· Provide test coverage analysis. Essential Skills and Experience: · Working experience at device driver development in PPC, memory controllers, Flash, DRAM, VME, PCI, and Ethernet.· Working knowledge with software/hardware debugging tools such as ICE and scope.· Knowledge in Window programming and scripting language desirable.· A self-starter, flexible, and willing to learn.· A team player with can-do attitude and strive in a fast-pace environment.· Analytical problem solving abilities, and good oral and written communication skills required.· VxWorks and Linux BSP experience is a plus. Minimum Requirements: BSEE or BSCS or an equivalent required. 3+ years experience with low level software development using C and Assembly. U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency status.
