The mission of the Geospatial Information Solutions Business Unit (GIS) within ITT Corporation is to be the premier provider of geospatial information solutions, systems, and services for planning, collection, processing, exploitation, analysis, and dissemination capabilities that translate geospatial data into actionable information, while providing sustained and profitable business growth. The GIS organization is currently seeking highly energetic and motivated candidates to fill its Associate Business Manager position located in Merrifield, VA. The candidate of choice will report directly to the GIS Business Manager. Occasional travel (5% to 10%) to other ITT locations and a willingness to work professional overtime hours as required by business needs are requirements for this dynamic position.Job Description:Provide complete program financial analysis to Program and Project Managers within the GIS Business by supporting their activities on various types of government contracts, proposals, and revenue and resource forecasts. Work closely with these Managers to integrate financial metrics into normal work activities and ensure programs are utilizing approved company tools and are managed in compliance with company policy and standards. Successful participation in a geographically diverse team environment and working seamlessly with other functional organizations to accomplish team objectives is a requirement for this position. Work will be performed in an exceptionally fast paced environment and successful candidates must have the ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and priorities. This position has responsibility for both internal and external reporting. Emphasis will be placed on the following:' Assists, and at times may act on behalf of, the GIS Business Manager on the following tasks: mentoring of junior cost analysts, financial presentations and generation of related review packages, higher level forecast tie-out, accounts receivable monitoring, proposal pricing and gate reviews, rate impact analyses, generation of GIS specific financial policies and procedures, and various ad hoc requests' Extremely frequent interaction with Program Managers, Project Managers, and Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads to assess current and future business concerns and needs' Perform analysis and prepare ad hoc reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed upon parameters and government cost control guidelines ' Reporting of financial contract deliverables' Weekly labor reporting and analysis to ensure hours are charged to the proper accounts' Development of time-phased program budgets and tracking costs in comparison to those budgets ' Weekly, monthly, and quarterly variance analysis ' Regular assessment of program predictability and profitability through Estimate at Completions (EACs)' Provide pricing support for cost proposals (RFPs) and Rough Orders of Magnitude (ROMs), price estimates to accomplish remaining contractual work (ETCs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and Requests for Equitable Adjustment (REAs)' Generation of Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for use in proposals and EACs' Monitor billing status and unbilled issues' Preparation and consolidation of internal program review presentations for ITT management' Development of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)' Calculation and documentation of journal entries to accomplish cost transfers and revenue accruals' Assist in the development of the annual operating plan (AOP) and monthly updates to that revenue plan' Determination of program risk, mitigation plans, opportunities and corrective action analysis' Support audits of financial data by internal and external auditors, DCAA, and other agencies Required Skills:' Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or other Business Degree' Minimum of 6 years experience in a professional financial analyst role' Experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR) requirements' Must have experience with Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time & Material (T&M), all types of Cost Plus (CP) and Cost Reimbursable (CR) contracts, and various methods of profit award (fixed fee, incentive fee, award fee, performance based)' Understanding of revenue recognition, budgeting, and forecasting' Advanced desktop computer skills, especially spreadsheet tools, MS Outlook, and MS Office (EXCEL, PowerPoint, Word)Desired Skills:' Earned Value Management (EVM/EVMS) Experience' Ability to build Resource Loaded Schedules' Software: MPM, MS Project, Pro-Pricer, PlanView, ClarityU.S. citizenship is required.
