Career Opportunity – Accountant Sr Location:  Lynnwood Job Number:  MH08R935071 Job Category:  Finance Product Solution:  n/a Essential Job Functions: Coordinate monthly financial closings and assist with spending variance analysis and verification.  Assist in preparing the financial records and reports including uploading the results in Hyperion Enterprise.  Is one of the functional owners for Hyperion Enterprise. Has overall responsibility for General Accounting functions such as Intercompany accounts, Prepaids, Bank Reconciliations, B & O Taxes and Property Taxes. Coordinate month-end close journal entries including preparation of the monthly closing scheduleAdminister and process intercompany debit memos to and from other Crane locations  Responsible for loading the final Trial Balance into Hyperion Enterprise to general monthly financial statementsResponsible for maintaining Prepaid accounts including determining proper amount and time period to amortizeTimely completion of monthly bank account reconciliations as well as applicable account reconciliationsMaintain and modify Oracle Financial Statement reports as necessaryAssist in preparation of annual tax package, VAT Reclaim and Unclaimed Property returnsPrepare monthly B & O tax return and bi-annual property tax paymentsAdminister the Purchasing card program as well as the Travel card accountWork closely with internal and external auditors to explain monthly closing procedures and to prepare financial data to facilitate annual auditsCross-train on critical closing functions such as Hyperion uploadsAssist in loading annual Plan and Quarterly forecasts into HyperionDevelop and maintain appropriate Financial Closing policies, narratives and procedures for GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley compliancePrepare or assist in preparing various customer, suppler and government surveysSpecial financial analysis as required  Education or Training Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum Experience Required: Five or more years heavy experience in general accounting in manufacturingThorough knowledge of internal control proceduresExcellent PC skills, including Microsoft OfficeAbility to effectively express self orally and in writing to  prepare comprehensive analyses, recommendations and reportsAbility to travel out of town for business purposesDESIRED:Familiarity with ERP systems, in particular Oracle, a plusFamiliarity with Hyperion Enterprise a plusExperience with payroll, treasury functions and Federal Tax lawExperience in standard cost accounting, manufacturing information systems, personal property tax law and sales and use tax law a plus Company: ELDEC Location: Lynnwood, WA 98046 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Accounting/Finance/Insurance Relevant Work Experience: 5+ to 7 Years Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Education: Bachelor's Degree Company: ELDEC Reference Code: MH08R935071
